Gain Additional Experience
Looking to increase your diving knowledge and in-water skills? The Desert Divers or Ocean Sports Advanced Open Water Diver program fine tunes your dive skills and allows you to explore some of diving’s most popular activities. The Desert Divers Advanced Open Water Diver program offers you the opportunity to gain additional experience and skills in deep, night, search and recovery, boat, computer, fish id, photography, dry suit, nitrox and other specialties under the direct guidance of a Desert Divers professional. Pre-requisites for this certification: Open Water or Junior Open Water Certification; completion of four individual specialty courses; and 24 logged dives. If you’re 15 or older, and a Open Water Diver or equivalent, then you’re ready for the Advanced Open Water Diver program. Or, if you’re between 12 and 14, there’s the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver program. The Junior Advanced Open Water Diver program is available if you are a Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent certification and are diving with an adult certified diver. After successfully completing the prerequisites, you'll receive the Advanced Open Water Diver certification. This program offers you new experiences, enhanced skills, lots of diving and more adventure!
